Following a public apology from publisher , several updates were released to stabilize the title:

Fixed issues with weapon animations, audio syncing (notably for the tactical crossbow), and balancing of damage values.

Addressed various crash issues and major performance bugs that occurred when resetting from checkpoints.

While v1.05 improved stability, the 2020 version remained controversial. In September 2022, Microids released a developed by a different studio, Tower Five . This update functioned as a "remake of the remake," completely reworking the art direction to restore the original's cel-shaded look, adding online multiplayer, and providing 60 FPS support for current-gen consoles.
