The episode picks up with Liz (Megan Boone) confronting her husband, (Ryan Eggold), after discovering a box of fake passports and money. Tom maintains his innocence, claiming he was set up and even insisting they turn the evidence over to the FBI to clear his name.
Agent Donald Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) is outsmarted and knocked unconscious by Zanetakos during an intense confrontation in a hotel elevator.
When the bomb squad is unable to deactivate the device, Ressler drives the vehicle off a pier and into the water just before it detonates, saving the city from a nuclear disaster.
