It wasn't until he opened the file in a hex editor that he realized the archive wasn't corrupted—it was encrypted with a key that changed based on the system's local time. He managed to bypass the lock at exactly 3:33 AM.

Elias pulled the power cord from the wall. The monitor stayed on. The progress bar for the extraction hit 100%.

Elias moved to the Renders folder. There was only one file: Final_Sequence.mp4 . He opened it. The video was a high-fidelity animation of a character standing in a white void.
