Serving as the project’s Creative Consultant , SZA drew heavy inspiration from her own deep connection to nature, which she credited with helping her cope during the pandemic. The "In Bloom" concept captured the collective feeling of "truly flourishing" after long periods of lockdown, using the botanical ingredients of the Essences— Strawberry & Lemongrass, White Peach & Rosemary, and Watermelon & Basil —as a sensory template for the show.
