While Echo Art's later work, such as the 1988 album (Music From) Etno , heavily incorporated electronic, jazz, and world music elements, Leitmotiv is rooted more firmly in the scene of the mid-80s. The group was composed of several performers, including Davide Ferrari, Andrea Del Cielo, and Michele Ferrari, who often combined their music with live sound engineering and choreography.
